Michael Butler, CITP, CIS, is Vice President of Sales at Brightspot Incentives & Events; a strong ambassador for incentive travel and the Society of Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE). Michael’s dad was a brick-and-mortar travel agent outside Boston in the late 60’s and 70’s and his mother was a banquet waitress for Hilton for over 30 years, so Michael has a legendary history in hospitality dating back more than half a century since he took his first trans-con flight as a +1 with his father (BOS-LAX). Michael has served on industry Advisory Boards in several different capacities for Collin College, SITE, and hotels. Also as an executive committee member of the SITE Foundation Research and Education Committee, and as a past President of the SITE Texas Chapter, to name a few. Michael’s passion is driving business results through motivational experiences—through incentives and events. He has first-hand insights on almost every incentive destination in the Western Hemisphere, and at least half of the Eastern frontier, and beyond!
