Ms Rachel Loh was appointed Executive Director, Hospitality in December 2024. She spearheads strategic initiatives to transform and elevate Singapore's hospitality sector, forging strong partnerships with industry stakeholders to drive sustainable growth and innovation. Under her leadership, her team identifies emerging opportunities and implements forward-thinking solutions that shape the future of hospitality in Singapore.
Previously, as Senior Vice President, Americas, she successfully led regional planning, business development and destination marketing efforts. A highlight of her tenure was steering the US market to achieve unprecedented tourism receipts of US$1 billion annually, marking a significant milestone in post-pandemic recovery.
Rachel also served as Director, Strategic Planning and Incentive Policy, where she oversaw the critical strategic planning and policy support of the Board to enable the success for the tourism sector. She was involved in the charting of the future of Singapore’s tourism development over the next decade and beyond. In addition, she led the Division in the development of incentive funds to catalyse tourism growth.
Before that, Rachel took on the role of Deputy Director, BTMICE Planning & Marketing. She also garnered experience in various aspects of tourism work, namely Business Tourism Development, Integrated Resorts, Cruise Infrastructure, New Businesses (under secondment to EDB), and Hospitality Industry Planning and Travel Services, where she started off as a Management Executive in July 2006.
Rachel graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2006 with a Bachelor of Social Science and holds a Master in Public Policy (attained in 2015) from Harvard University, USA.
