Regarded as one of the best Portuguese chefs, Rui Silvestre was born on July 25th, 1986, in Valongo. As a major figure in contemporary cuisine, he delves into the creation of new dishes and flavors.

In the culinary world since the age of 20, he started in a restaurant in Carvoeiro, Algarve, and a year later traveled to France where he worked at the Michelin-starred restaurants Lá Ferme de Saint Simion (1 Michelin star) and Christophe Baquie (3 Michelin stars).

In 2009, he joined the team at Costes, the first restaurant in Hungary to receive a Michelin star. Rui Silvestre arrived in Paris in 2011, where he worked at the renowned restaurant George V. A year later, he accepted a new challenge and moved to Switzerland, to the restaurant Margaux, where he stayed until 2014. In early 2015, he began a new challenge as Executive Chef at the restaurant Bon Bon, where he earned his first Michelin star in just one year, becoming the youngest Portuguese chef to be awarded by the renowned Michelin Guide.

In 2018, he opened the restaurant Vistas, where he earned the first star for the Algarve's Sotavento region, remaining at Vistas until 2023.
