Anupam Dasgupta brings with him nearly three decades of extensive hospitality experience having worked with leading hotel brands such as Oberoi Hotels, ITC Hotels & Ananda in the Himalayas. Having joined The Leela Palace New Delhi as General Manager in 2021, he was elevated to a strategic leadership role in 2023 helming the magnificent palaces of The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts as Area Vice President (North India), besides overseeing development of new hotels in the region, and directly supervising the international inbound leisure business. Over the years, Anupam Dasgupta has honed his skills in understanding nuanced luxury and is a highly motivated and a dynamic leader. Technically sound, he has pursued excellence, consistently ensuring that his team performs at the highest level. He has independently handled large operations and possesses an astute business acumen with a keen understanding of Food and Beverage operations, finance, marketing strategy development and communications. Combining his love for love for gastronomy and an unrivalled pursuit of quality, Anupam has been instrumental in discovering, redefining and, shaping the strengths of the Food and Beverage landscape of The Leela Palace New Delhi making it the iconic F&B forward hotel destination in the city, thereby elevating the status of region and the city by extension. With introducing unique and engaging service rituals in the restaurants, to bringing in world renowned chefs and bartenders like Massimo Bottura, Alain Ducasse, Daniel Nevsky and the likes, Anupam has been at the forefront of orchestrating memorable experiences for guests. He has strategically worked deeply with the teams to elevate what the restaurants have to offer and ensuring consistency in delivering those experiences. Bringing Megu and Le Cirque to be recognised amongst World 50Best Discovery Restaurant list stands as a true testament to Anupam's vision for the brand and his ‘F&B forward’ approach. Passionate about talent development, he has mentored many industry leaders with elan. Anupam Dasgupta is a graduate in Arts from The Delhi University, and an alumnus of IHM Kolkata. He is also a Post Graduate Diploma holder from The Oberoi Centre for Learning and Development (OCLD), and an alumnus of Cornell University’s program on Hotel Real Estate & Valuation.
Anupam is a keen runner and golfer. He loves to read classical and modern literature and has many a stage performance to his credit. He has a passion for music and plays the guitar as well as sings. A keen naturalist, he enjoys spending time outdoors, identifying and cataloguing wild animals and birds.
